A modern lake home that balances the clients' opposing rustic-cabin and sleek-modern aesthetics. Utilizing many natural elements of the site and local northeast materials, the family has a spacious, comfortable home overlooking Canadaigua Lake.
Utilizing wood flooring and wall materials from our in-house Pioneer Millworks and custom built-ins, cabinetry, and stairs from in-house NewWoodworks, we were able to dive deep into the custom finishes with the client to provide a cohesive and timeless palette.
A custom main entry door features a live edge "river" design as a subtle nod to the finger lake site. Walnut is featured among the reclaimed barn wood siding. A thermally modified pine deck will continue to naturally grey and withstand the harsh winters.
