After becoming empty-nesters, this couple built a single-level forever home on their land in the Syracuse area. Without any preconceived ideas of what they wanted their home to look like, we had many creative meetings to develop a full interior build out and aesthetic that married rugged, industrial materials with a polished, functional design. Natural stone countertops were focal points in each space.
Custom stained white oak flooring with a multi-step process anchors the darker colors of the burned and brushed grey-brown timber frame and dark stained cabinets. Custom doors and built-ins from douglas fir continue the dark timber finish throughout the house.
The main approach showcases a steep 12:12 roof pitch with green accented fascia to compliment the natural cedar shakes and burned and brushed Douglas Fir Timber frame.
